After nearly 50 years of serving this community, it is with mixed emotions that I announce the retirement of Arnie Sauder and the closing of Sauder’s Camping and Truck Access, Ltd., effective September 30, 2026.
This was not a decision taken lightly. However, after exploring all options, I have decided it is time to close this chapter. I want to express my deepest gratitude to our valued employees, customers, and suppliers who have supported us over these past 49 years. Your loyalty has meant the world to us.
We will continue to handle service work through the end of August. During September, we will finish up outstanding jobs and prepare the premises for new tenants. Thank you for being a part of our journey.
Sauders Camping and Truck Accessories Ltd. has been family owned for almost 50 years! The company was founded in 1971 when Wes Sauder of St. Jacobs, Ontario put an ad in the paper for the rental of his tent trailer. The response was so great that he bought five more and rented them from his backyard. The following summer, Wes purchased a vacant lot behind his house to store the trailers. Today Wes’s son Arnie manages the business, now located at a 6,000 square foot facility at Reitzel Road and Lobsinger Line, just outside of St. Jacobs.
The business may have changed since 1971, but its foundation has not. Arnie and the team at Sauder’s work hard to provide excellent service, quality products, and great prices. Whether you need a new trailer hitch, truck cap or a new RV, you can count on the honest and friendly professionals at Sauder’s to get you the right product at the right price. It’s always worth the trip to St. Jacobs!
